Solidarity Acts of the Holy Shrine

1.The income and resources of the Holy Shrine are contributed towards:

a) Financing all the necessary works, for the development and evolution of the Shrine, as a spiritual religious and national center of Panhellenic scope.

b) Financing pupils, college students and sick in need.

c) The operational expenses of the Holy Shrine.

d) Supporting Charitable and Welfare foundations of the Holy Metropolis of Chalkis.

e) The operation of the Offices of the Holy Metropolis of Chalkis.

f) For the support of the Missionary work of the Church, the Apostolic Ministry, the Insurance Organization of the Church and the other ecclesiastical organizations.

g) Supporting the Museum and the Candlemaker’s.

i) Supporting cultural events organized by the Holy Metropolitanate and local agencies with the sole purpose of public benefit which contribute to the preservation and dissemination of the Greek Orthodox tradition.

j) The maintenance and operation of the Holy Chapels of the Holy Shrine.

k) Publishing books, CDs, DVDs, etc., that promote culture and humanism.

2. At the Management Board’s discretion, to the needy and in Institutions or Parishes and Monasteries of the Holy Metropolis. Oil and Candles in excess are offered for the needs of Parishes and Monasteries.
